Therefore Collector Current = 3.92 mA

Given:

The emitter current in a transister = 4 mA

Leakage Current = 6 mA

α = o.98

To Find:

The collector's current Ic

Solution:

We can simply solve this numerical problem by using the following process.

Given that

α = 0.98

The emitter current in a transistor Ie = 4 mA

Leakage Current  = 6 mA

⇒ α = Ic/Ie = 0.98

Ic = 0.98 × 4 = 3.92

Therefore Collector Current = 3.92 mA
