Answer ⇒ C₁₃H₂₆

Explanation ⇒ Given,

Empirical formula of the compound = CH₂

∴ Empirical formula mass = 12 + 2 = 14 g/mole.

Given,  molecular mass = 180 g.

∴ n = molecular mass/empirical formula mass

∴ n = 180/14

∴ n = 12.85 ≈ 13

∴ Molecular formula = n × empirical formula.

∴ Molecular formula = 13 × CH₂

∴ Molecular formula = C₁₃H₂₆

Hence, the molecular formula of the given compound is C₁₃H₂₆.

Hope it helps.
