Qutb al-Din Aibak was the founder of Mamluk dynasty. he was the first sultan of Delhi sultanate. He was the ruler of mediaeval India. He was the sultan for only four years from 1206 to 1210.

Polo is a horseback mounted sport. It was one of the world's oldest well-known sports.

In the year 1210, Qutb al-Din Aibak was died on 1st December 1210 in an accident while playing the sport polo. He fell from the horseback and severely injured. He was buried in Lahore, Pakistan.
