First we find the empirical formula weight of CH= 13 because weight of C=12 and weight of H=1. Therefore CH= 12+1=13.
Next we have to divide the molecular weight and empirical formula weight.
=78/13=6.
6 will be the number of moles.
Therefore molecular formula = 6(CH)
Which is C6H6.

debdas347: why do we have to find the molar mass
tinapatinsome: Because that is the formula to find the molecular formula.
shivam75: I didn't copy you
tinapatinsome: Haha not you. I meant the other person
debdas347: can u state it
tinapatinsome: Molecular formula= (molecular weight)/(empirical formula weight

the molecular mass of CH is 13 u
Next we have to divide it by 78 to find molecular formula
78/13 = 6
so the molecular formula of CH compound which weight 78 g is 7 CH

shivam75: sorry it's 6 CH
shivam75: plz mark as brainlieast
debdas347: why do we divide
tinapatinsome: Please don't copy me.
shivam75: we divide it to find the no. of molecules of CH present in compound
shivam75: mark as brainlieast
