Empirical formula mass :-
= 12+1×2+16
= 12+2+16
= 30
Now, we know that :-
n = Molecular mass/Emp. formula mass
=> n = 90/30
=> n = 3
Molecular formula = Emp.formula × n
= CH₂O × 3
= C₃H₆O₃
Thus, molecular formula of the compound is C₃H₆O₃ .
