Given,

R.M.M of Hydrogen = 1 g, Oxygen = 16 g

Vapour Density = 17

Empirical Formula = HO

Empirical Formula Molar Mass = 1+16

= 17 g

Molecular Formula = (HO)n

Value of n = Molar Mass/Empirical Formula Molar Mass

= (2*Vapour Density)/Empirical Formula Molar Mass

= (2*17)/17

= 34/17

= 2

Molecular Formula = H₂O₂ (Option B)
