Shortest length=11=10cm

For first resonating column

λ/4=l1+e------------1

For second resonance column:

3λ/4=l2+e----------2

Dividing equation 1 by 2

l1+e  /l2+e=λx4/4x3λ

10+1/l2+1=1/3

l2+1=33

l2=33-1=32cm

∴next resonating length should be 32cm
