The energy associated with first Orbit in hydrogen atom is -2.18 × 10^-18 joule per atom what is the energy associated with fifth Orbit.

Hello Kishan
The energy of nth orbit for any atom is related to principal quantum number of an element as, E ∝ Z²/n²
in case of Hydrogen Z=1
so,E ∝1/n²
Let E1 be energy of 1st orbit and E5 be of 5th orbit. Then
so,E1/E5=5²/1²
or,E5=25 x E1
or,E5=25 x -2.18 × 10^-18
or,E5=-5.45×10^-17 Joule/atom
Hope it Helps.
