2.276*10^4 kWhr

Given,

energy liberated in the fission of a single uranium  235 atom is=3.2x10-11

number of atoms (N)=6.023 x 10^23

To Find,

Energy released in fission

Solution:

number of atoms in 1 g of 235U(N)=6.023*10^23/235

N=2.56*10^21 atoms

Energy released in fission of 1 kg of 235 atom (E)=N*N_{E1}

=2.56*10^21*3.2*10^-11

=8.192*10^10 j

=8.192*10^10/1000*60*60 kWhr

=2.276*10^4 kWhr

Hence the Energy released in fission of 1 kg of 235 atom=2.276*10^4 kWhr
