The engine of a car produces an acceleration of 6 m/s² in the car. If this car pulls a block double of its mass, then the acceleration would be
(a) 6 m/s²
(b) 13 m/s²
(c) 2 m/s² = answer but how????
pls tell here only
(d) 1.5 m/s²

whatever be the mass of the car (say 'm') the force applied (or torque produced by the engine) would be the same (say 'F').
since F = m *a (a is acceleration)
so,
CASE1
when mass is m then
F=m*6
m=F/6
CAR
CASE 2
Now car has to pull the block which is two times heavier than that so
m+2m=3m
so,
F=3m*A(A is the new acceleration)
now we know that m=F/6 so
F=3(F/6)*A
F=F/2*A
A=2
HOPE IT'S HELPED ♥️♥️♥️

Answer: 2m/s sq.

Explanation:

Let mass of car be m

Then F=ma

F=6m ....(1)

Now it pulls block of 2m

Then ... m+2m=3m

So F=ma

6m=3m*a (from (1)

a= 6m/3m

= 2m/s sq.
