Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Length of the park =35m

Breadth of the park =18m

Area f the park = Length × Breadth

                          =35×18

                          =630m2

Length of the park with grass =(35−5)=30m

Breadth of the park with grass =(18−5)m=13m

Area of park to be laid with grass =(30×13)=390m2

Area of path without grass = Area of the whole park area of park grass

                                             =630−390

                                             =240m2

Hence, area of the park to be laid with grass =390m2
