Pupil is that part of the eye which controls the entry of the light.

The pupil is the opening at the center of the iris (the color enhancing structure in our eyes).

The pupil allows light to enter the eye so that it can be focused on the retina and consequently the process of sight gets started.

The pupils appear almost round which are equal in size and black in color. The light that passes through the pupil is absorbed almost completely by the retina and is not reflected back and therfore the pupils are black in color.
