The epithet Brahmananda (whose delight is God) for Keshab Chandra Sen was adorn by Debandarnath Tagore.

When the Keshab Chandra Sen stepped into the Brahmo Samaj, he had a great affaction with Debandernath Tagore. Both worked for the reforms in society and women upliftment. Debandarnath Tagore made Keshab, the acharya of the Samaj and conferred upon him title of Brahamananda.
