Heya !!

The given equation is X² - (P + 4 )X + 2P + 5.

Here,

A = 1 , B = -(P + 4 ) and C = 2P + 5.

Discriminant ( D ) = 0

B² - 4AC = 0

(-P - 4 )² - 4 × 1 × 2P + 5 = 0

P² + 16 - 2 × -P × 4 - 4( 2P + 5 ) = 0

P² + 16 + 8P - 8P - 20 = 0

P² - 4 = 0

P² = 4

P = √4 = +2 or -2.
