2x^2 +3x+k=0, here, a=2,b=3,c=k

sum of roots=-b/a

let roots be a and b both are equal

a+b=-3/2

a+a=-3/2

2a=-3/2

4a=-3

a=-3/4

now

product of roots=c/a

a×b=k/2

a×a=k/2

a^2 =k/2 a=-3/4

(-3/4)^2 =k/2

9/16=k/2

k=9/8
