Given : The equation for alternating current is given by i=Imsin628t

To Find : i) Maximum value

(ii) Frequency

(iii) RMS value

(iv) Avg value

(v) Form factor

(vi) Peak factor

Solution:

I = Im Sin(628t)

=> I = Im sin (200 * 3.14 t)

=> I = Im sin (200πt)

200πt = 2π

=> t = 2/100

=> t  = 1/100

=> t = 10 ms

Time period = 10 ms

Frequency   = 1/t  = 100 Hz

100 Hz

Maximum value = Im

RMS Value = Im / √2

Average Value  = 2 Im /π = 0.6366 Im

Form factor = RMS/ Average

=  (Im / √2 )/( 2 Im /π )

= 1.11

Peak Factor = Im / RMS Value

= √2

= 1.414
