the equation is b+5=9, value of variable is 5. so equation is satisfied or not ?

Answer:

Eq : b+5=9

given b=5

substitute 5 instead of b

5 + 5= 9

Here it clearly seen that 5 + 5 is not = 9 oys = 10

hence 5 does not statisfy the equation

but b=4 will statisfy.
