The equation of a function is y = 4x + 5. Find the value of y when
(1) x= 3,
(2) x = -2.​

1).If x=3,

y= 4(3)+5

= 12+5

y= 17

2).y=4x+5

If x = -2,

y = 4(-2) + 5

= -8 +5

y = -3
