Explanation:

Equation of trajectory=4x-2x^2=2x(2-x)

Multiply and divide by 2

=4x(1-x/2)

Comparing it with general equation if trajectory ie x tan theta(1-x/R)

R=2m

Thank you!

Answer:

Horizontal Range = 2m

Explanation:

  • Equation of projectile is given by

                       y = 4x-2x^{2}

                       y =4x(1-\frac{x}{2} )                                            (1)

  • General equation of trajectory is given by

             y =xtan\alpha (1-\frac{x}{R} )                                                (2)

on comparing equation 1 and 2 ,

we get,

         (  Horizontal Range )  R = 2m
