g = 4(vcos\theta)^{2}................(3) and 4 = tan\theta........................(4)

we know that the horizontal range is given by

R = \dfrac{(sin2\theta) (v) ^{2} }{g}..........................(4)

using (3) and (4) we get,

R = \dfrac{v^{2}2sin\theta cos\theta}{4v^{2}(cos\theta)^{2}}

R = \dfrac{tan\theta }{2} = \dfrac{4}{2} = 2

So, horizontal range is 2 units.
