Answer:  x^2/25 + 9y^2/100 = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Firstly we will find the x any y intercept respectively.

For x intercept

      y=0

      Substituting it in 2x+3y=10

                                 →2x + 0=10

                                  → x = 10/2 = 5

  This is the major axis of ellipse , a=5.

For y intercept

       x =0

       Similarly y= 10/3

This becomes the minor axis of ellipse , b= 10/3.

The general equation of ellipse is  x^2/a^2 + y^2/b^2 =1

 Substituting a and b,

Required equation is x^2/25 + 9y^2/100 = 1

adwaid0987abcd: is this correct?
MuskanTudu: yup
MuskanTudu: the vertex of ellipse coincides with origin
adwaid0987abcd: y can't it be x^2/25+y^2/9
MuskanTudu: 9 ??
adwaid0987abcd: ooops ....x^2/9+y^/4
MuskanTudu: see the minor axis length is obtained by putting x=0 as the point lies on y axis
MuskanTudu: so the minor axis will be obtained as 2*0 + 3y = 10
MuskanTudu: and therefore y=10/3
