The equation of AM wave is, e=100(1+0.6 sin 6280t) sin2π*10⁶t. Calculate, (i) Modulation index, (ii) frequency of carrier wave, (m) frequency of modulating wave and (iv) frequency of LSB and USB. [Ans:(i) 0.6 (ii) 1MHz (iii) 1 kHz (iv) 0.999 MHz, 1.001 MHz]

The amplitude modulations are relatively considered as modulated wave and therefore bring radio frequency carrier. It denotes the modulation index is 0.6 and frequency of career wave is measuring as 1MHZ, frequency of modulating wave and frequency of LSB and USB takes by 1.001 MHz and 0.999MHz.


The index can be calculated based on AM and carry out e=100(1+0.6 sin 6280t) sin2π*10⁶t.
