At first we should convert benzene into chlorobenzene via chlorination.
With the help of Friedel craft acylation we can convert the chlorobenzene into 3-chloroacetophenone. (Chlorobenzene + CH3COCl + anhydrous AlCl3 / HCl) → 3-chloroacetophenone. It is a para isomer(as a mojor product) with more stability and less steric repulsion as well. Please do remember here ortho isomer is minor product due to having more steric repulsion
