s = 10t - 2t²

Diff wrt. t

⇒ds/dt = d(10t - 2t²)/dt

⇒v = 10 - 2(2t)

⇒v = 10 - 4t m/s

At Initial Velocity, time = 0 s

⇒v = 10 - 4(0)

⇒v = 10 - 0

⇒v = 10 m/s

\therefore Initial Velocity is 10 m/s.
