1,2) with the slope 2/5 is
A)4x - 3y + 17 = 0
B)5x + 3y - 11 = 0
C)7x + 2y - 27 = 0

Solution:-

As we know that,

  • If the equation of the line passing through point P(x_1,y_1) having slope 'm' then the formula will be y - y_1 = m(x - x_1).

Where,

  • m(slope) = 2/5
  • Point(x_1,y_1) = (1,2)

Applying the values,

\\ \;\;\;\;\;\;\bullet \: \sf{y - y_1 = m(x - x_1)} \\ \\ :\implies\sf{y - 2 = \frac{2}{5}(x - 1)} \\ \\ :\implies\sf{5(y - 2) = 2(x - 1)} \\ \\ :\implies\sf{5y - 10 = 2x - 2} \\ \\ :\implies\sf{2x + 5y + 10 - 2 = 0} \\ \\ :\implies\sf{2x - 5y + 8 = 0} \\ \\

  • Hence,The equation of the line is 2x - 5y+ 8 = 0.
  • Therefore,Option (d) is correct.
