x = 2, y = -7

Now we put this solution in every equation.

(a) 5x + 2y+ 4 = 0

5×2 + 2×(-7) + 4 = 0

10 + (-14) + 4 = 0

14 - 14 = 0

0 = 0

(b) 5 × 2 + 2 × (-7) = 24

10 - 7 = 24

3 ≠ 24

(c) 5 × 2 + 2 × (-7) + 10 = 0

10 - 7 + 10 = 0

20 - 7 = 0

13≠ 0

(d) 5 × 2 + 2 × (-7 ) - 14 = 0

10 - 14 - 14 = 0

- 18 ≠ 0

So , option (a) is right.

This is the answer of your question. I hope that it will help you.
