x = a is also the correct answer but more appropriate is :-

ax+by+c( standard form) as it is on x axis Therefore y will be 0, it gives ax+c =0

=> x=-c/a

So the coordinate will be (-c/a,0)

Let the equation of X-axis be y=mx+c. 

It passes through (0,0).

Therefore, the equation becomes 0=m×0+c

⇒c=0 

Again the line makes an angle θ=0o with itself, i.e tanθ=m=1

Therefore, the equation of the X-axis is

y=m×0+0

⇒y=0
