EVALUATION

Here it is given that the equation t = 21 - 0.01n models normal low july. temperature in degree Celsius at, mount Rushmore south dakota in the equation t is the temperature at n meters above the base of mountain.

So the given model is

t = 21 - 0.01n

Now we have to find the normal low july temperature, at 300m above the base.

So n = 300

Hence the required normal low july temperature, at 300m above the base

= 21 - ( 0.01 × 300 ) degree Celsius

= ( 21 - 3 ) degree Celsius

= 18 degree Celsius
