x²-(p+4)x+2p+5=0

For equal roots

D=0

b²-4ac=0

[-(p+4)]²-4×1×(2p+5)=0
p²+16+8p-8p-20=0
p²-4=0
p²=4
p=±√4
p=+2 or p=-2

abhi569: So, x = -2 Or x = 2
Anonymous: I can't edit it now.. it has been reported.. only one last step is missing i.e. ,p=-2 and p=+2
abhishek664: ya it is incomplete
abhishek664: relly very very sry for that plzzzz sryyy

hey here your answer

so it's. D will be 0

D = b^2 - 4ac

(p+ 4) ^2 - 4 × 1 × (2p + 5) = 0

p^2 + 16 + 8p - 8p - 20 =0

p^2 -4 =0

p^2 = 4

p = + 2 and - 2

hope this helps✌✌
