then area of square = 100*100 cm²

=10000 cm²

as given 1%S error in measuring length

so new length = 99 cm

and area of square = 99*99 cm²

=9801 cm²

so net change in calculating area = (10000-9801) cm²

=199 cm²

percentage change in calculating area = (199*100)/10000%

=1.99%

≅2%
