Answer: ve′ = 112 km/s.

Explanation:

Formula:

ve = √2GM/R

If, mass and radius of earth is m and r, then:

ve = √2Gm/r = 11.2 km/s (Given)

Now, according to question,

Mass of another planet = 1000m

It's radius = 10r

Therefore,

ve′ = √2G(1000m)/10r = √200Gm/r = 10√2Gm/r

=> ve′ = 10ve

=> ve′ = 10(11.2 km/s) = 112 km/s.

So, escape velocity at the planet is 112 km/s.
