As you said the evils of dowry has increased.
Yeah, dowry has been the worst evil of all the times. Let me question first!
Why do womens face these evils every time? Are they weak??
And the answer is no. A person can never be weak. God has made us all equal. No matter if it is a girl or a boy. Its just a matter of thinking. Everybody is equally strong. Then why only women face a number of social evils all the time? Because, their existence is not taken seriously and thats from where the problem starts. Their birth is never celebrated, they are never given the perfect education and afterall they are always told that they will get married soon. If there is a woman with high salary and she is settled and has the exact job of her dreams then no question arouses for dowry. And if the girl is not given the perfect education then who won't demand for dowry. So girls should be taught equally as the boys are taught. Our all social evils start write from our backward thinking. Girls have been harassed for not bringing dowry. They are even been killed for no reason, except dowry. That will never happen if the girl is trained, has a good job, has high salary and has been settled and lives a life of her dreams. So we get an conclusion that if girls are respected, given all the priveliges that a boy or a man has, thinked upon their existence then not only dowry but there won't be any social evil and finally girls or woman will become free from these bulshit stories of dowry, harassment, blah blah....
So every parent should think upon this, then only some problem will be solved...........
