The expounder of dialectical method in early Greek philosophy was Socrates.
In 300 BC, Socrates engaged the participation of his learners by kindling them to ask questions to find out the answers. This concept is now known as the dialectic or Socratic method. According to him, asking questions paved way for learning through self-generated understanding.
However, the term dialectic was formulated by Plato. He was one of the many students of Socrates and Aristotle’s teacher.
