We know,

we get

2a + b = 2 .............(1)

CASE-2: When x= 1 and y= -1

We know,

ax + by = 10

putting values of x and y as 1 and -1 respectively

we get

a - b = 10 .............(2)

Now adding both equations (1) and (2)

2a + b + a - b = 2 + 10

=> 3a = 12

=> a= 4

=> b= -6
