The external dimensions of a closed wooden box are 48 cm, 36 cm, 30 cm
And
The box is made of 1.5 cm thick wood.
So,
Internal dimension of box = ( 48 - 1.5 - 1.5 = 45 cm ) , ( 36 , -1.5 - 1.5 = 33 cm ) and ( 30 - 1.5 - 1.5 = 27 cm )
So,
Volume of box = 45 × 33 × 27 = 40095 cm3
Dimension of a brick = 6 cm length , 3 cm breadth and 0.75 cm height .
So,
Volume of a brick = 6 × 3 × 0.75 = 13.5 cm3
And
Let Total number of bricks can be put in this box = x
We can say
Volume of box = x ( Volume of brick )
So,
40095 = x ( 13.50 )
x = 40095/13.5 = 2970
So,
Total number of bricks can be put in this box = 2970
