Hey mate ☺
Copper is found as Cu2S in nature can be obtained from its ore by just heating in air.
2Cu2S+3O2-------->2Cu2O+ 2SO2
The copper is formed of by the reduction of Cu2O and Cu2S in the process of extraction of copper from its sulfide ore. This reaction gives 98% copper by auto reduction. Electrolytic refining can be used for obtaining 99.9% pure copper.
The reaction of self-reduction is given below:
2Cu2O + Cu2S -----> 6Cu + SO2
It is called self-reducing because copper oxide itself reduced the copper sulfide to give copper and sulfur dioxide.
Hope it helps you ☺✌✌

CU 2S is the sulphide Ore .
sulphide Ores are extracted from roasting which is done in excess air .
does first the odds are converted into their oxides by burning in the excess air and then these oxides are again reduced with carbon which then converts into pure metal and carbondioxide .
about figure shows the explanation .
