Answer:

The fairy;as we can see is someone who believes in a win-win situation. She doesn't believe in caging things that are supposed to be free and enjoying nature's glory. The way she treats the fish shows that even though she loved it,she loved it enough to understand that it was supposed to be free. As a famous quote goes"When we like a flower, we pluck it but if we love a flower we water and nurture it". This quote can very well be applied to the fairy who was wise enough to know that the creatures of nature are supposed to be free and kind enough to take her time to unleash the bird. The bird I believe also went through the same kind of treatment from the fairy. The fairy bought the bird because she loved the sweet and mesmerizing voice in which it sang. The bird was one of the many animals she bought as a part of her purchase. The bird's sweet and melodious voice kept her enthralled and engaged in listening to it's voice. But when the twilight hour approached she finally was able to let go of her desires and unleash the bird to it's intimate momentum of freedom. The fairy hence listened to the bird's sweet voice upto her heart's content;before she unleashed it and let it go. The letting go of the bird and ultimately the desires of having it by the fairy shows that satisfaction is not and cannot be acquired by only selfish possession of things; but also by the nurturing of things and the accumulation of kind acts.

The fairy from the beginning of the poem;is showcased as a serene woman, who knows enough about the working of our nature's cycle. She doesn't believe in caging animals just to sate her thirst of having beautiful creatures pit patting around her house. She instead shows her superiority in terms of love,by letting go of all her purchases(the animals). The mouse was thus one of the many animals she bought.Yes, I agree that the fairy's kind nature can be revealed through the way she treated the mouse. She didn't treat the mouse like other harpy or ninny like women do. She in fact treated it as if it was her neighbour's kid that came to play at her house. She talked with the mouse(metaphorically speaking) to her heart's fill. She let the mouse roam through her house;hopping and moving with it's tiny feet. She just watched the beauty and elegance in the mouse's voice and steps before she let it go. That is why we are saying that the fairy's kind nature is impersonated through the way she treated the mouse.
