Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Height of Humboldt falls = 275 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the Height of Humboldt falls = H

Height of Bridal Veil falls = B

Given:

H:B = 5:1

∴ H = 5B ..... (1)

Also, Humboldt falls are 220m heigher than the Bridal Veil falls

∴ H = B + 220 ... (2)

Substituting value of H from (1) into (2), we get

5B = B + 220

∴ 4B = 220

∴ B = 55 m ...(3)

Putting the value of B in eqn (1), we get

H = 5B

∴ H = 5 × 55

∴ H = 275 m

Height of Humboldt Falls = 275 m

Answer:

275m

Step-by-step explanation:

Height of Humboldt falls = 275 m

Let the Height of Humboldt falls = H

Height of Bridal Veil falls = B

Given:

H:B = 5:1

∴ H = 5B ..... (1)

Also, Humboldt falls are 220m heigher than the Bridal Veil falls

∴ H = B + 220 ... (2)

Substituting value of H from (1) into (2), we get

5B = B + 220

∴ 4B = 220

∴ B = 55 m ...(3)

Putting the value of B in eqn (1), we get

H = 5B

∴ H = 5 × 55

∴ H = 275 m

Height of Humboldt Falls = 275 m
