Explanation: Chaturbhuj temple is built in reverence to Lord Vishnu.The word Chaturbhuj is a Sanskrit origin which means one with four arms(here referring to Lord Vishnu who had four arms)

The temple lies on the flip side of River Khudar which is about 2 km south of Duladeo Temple.Since the temple is located in the village of Jatakari and hence popularly known as Jatakari Temple. The most striking feature of this temple is that it is the only temple in Khajuraho that faces west and does not showcase erotic sculptures. It has the tallest idol carved from stone in the entire Khajuraho.

King Yasovarman of the Chandela Dynasty constructed this temple during 1100 AD at Khajuraho which bears an image of Lord Vishnu.
