Saint Kabir Das was a great poet and spiritual leader ofIndia. He was born in 1440 in Varanasi, as per historical sources it isbelieved that he was born in the family of weaver couple Neeru and Neema. Helived around the 15th Century. He brought a renaissance in Spiritual or BhaktiMovement development. He is a most revered saint not only in Hinduism but Islam and Sikhism too. The word 'Kabir' means great in Islam. His verses are found in Guru Granth Sahib. He spent his early years in a Muslim family.
