A majority of farm labourers are exploited in one way or the other. Some of the areas of exploitation are in their working hours, working conditions, social benefits, children’s education and finally and most importantly in their wages. Though farming sector is regulated to a certain extent by the government, most farms, especially those in remote areas do not follow these regulations.

A more sincere involvement by the government, genuine support of NGOs’ and change of mindset of farmer-owners, will help to stop exploitation of farm labourers.
