It is true that Brobdingnagians helped as well as exploited Gulliver. When Gulliver reached Brobdingnag, it was the farmers’ daughter, Glumdalclitch, who took great care of him. She acted like a caretaker and guardian to Gulliver. However, her father was just the opposite and he exploited Gulliver in all possible manners. He treated Gulliver as an instrument of entertainment. He made Gulliver do tricks and repeat what phrases he knew of the Brobdingnagian language for the entertainment of local audiences.
