One day, the farmer thought of a idea to unite his sons. He asked his sons to get collected in his house's garden.
All the four sons reached there in time. The father came after a little while. Till then the four sons started again to quarrel with each other. The farmer came there. He brought four sticks with him.
Then he gave bundle to his sons and asked them to try to break it one by one. All the sons tried to break it but no one was able to break it. Then their father took out one one stick from the bundle and then gave one one stick to his four sons and again asked them to break it. This time all were able to break the single stick.
Now, the father came forward and gave them a moral that, "United we stand and Divided we fall".
All the four sons understood what their father was trying to teach them. From that moment, all the sons began to live together happily........

Each of the sons tried to break the bundle but failed. Then the farmer untied the bundle and gave one stick to each and asked them to break it. Each of them was able to do it easily.
The farmer said, “Now you understand. If you are united nobody can get better of you. But you keep quarreling, you will be broken by anyone.”
