Answer:

Leguminous plants fix the atmospheric nitrogen with the help of Rhizobium bacteria present in the root nodules of these plants. The nitrogen fixed gets into the soil and make it fertile. So farmers do not add nitrogenous fertilisers to soil in which leguminous plants are grown.

Answer:

It is not required to add nitrogen fertilizer to the leguminous plants because there some nitrogen fixing bacteria called rhizobium which fixes the atmospheric nitrogen into nitrates and nitrites which are then taken through the soil by the plants for their for their further growth.
