Let the age of son be x.
Father' age = 3x
10 years ago :-
→ Son's age = x - 10
→ Father's age = 3x - 10
According to the question :-
→ 3x - 10 = 5.5 ( x - 10 )
→ 3x - 10 = 5.5x - 55
→ 5.5x - 3x = 55 - 10
→ 2.5x = 45
→ x = 45 / 2.5
→ x = 18
- Father's age = 3 × 18 = 54
