1 Answer

(C) 6 and 36

Let son age = x

The age of father six times the age of his son = 6x

Four years hence = 6x +4.     Eq 1

The age of father will be four times the age of his son = 4( x+4)      Eq 2

Eq 1= Eq 2

6x+4= 4(x+4) = 6x +4 = 4x + 16          = 6x+4-4x-16 =0

2x = 12

x =12/2=6.   x=6

Substitute in 6x = 6(6)=36

Hence 6 and 36

then father age is =6x
hence four year
sons age =x+4
father age =4(x+4)
when u you solve the equ.
x=6x and
x+4=4(x+4)
then age of sun is 6
the present age of
