Let the son's age be 5 years ago be \bold{x}
Thus, father's age will be \bold{5x}

After 5 years \bold{⇒ x +5 = 5x + 5}

After 2 years  \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \bold{⇒ 3(x+5+2) = 5x + 5 + 2 }
 \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \bold{⇒ 3x + 15 +6 = 5x + 7 }
\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \:\bold{⇒ 14 = 2x }
 \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \bold{⇒ x = 7\: years }

Present age: \bold{⇒x + 5 = 12 \:and \:5x + 5 =40}

Now, Ratios:
\bold{⇒ 40:12 = 20:6 = 10:3}

Ans: \bold{\fbox{\red{10:3}}}
