Answer: 1.152 litres

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data:

The rate at which the faucet leaks water = [1 / (5*5*5*5*5)] litre per second

To find: amount of water leaked in 1 hr from the faucet

We know,

1 hour = 60 * 60 seconds

Now,

If in 1-second amount of water leaked = [1/(5*5*5*5*5)] litre

In (60*60) seconds the amount of water leaked will be

= [1/(5*5*5*5*5)] * (60*60)

= (12 * 12) / (5*5*5)

= 144/125

= 1.152 litres

Hence, in 1 hour, 1.152 litres of water leaks out from the faucet.
