the feathers of a bird protect it from cold. how?


Albert01: the feather traps air and air is a insulator of heat which doesn't allow the heat to radiate from the body this is how feather help birds to keep warm in winter

The feathers of the bird is a bad conductor of heat. Therefore it does not allow the heat of the body to escape out and protect it from cold.

The feathers of a bird protect it from cold because in cold the cold air get trapped in their features and the cold air become hot because of the body temperature and that help birds to keep them warm in winters also.
the feather are just like the sweater that we wear in winter's .
