HIMALAYAS :-
1) The great Himalayas r the north most and the loftiest range of the Himalayas . it always covered with snow nd is therefore the source of various river .
2) Some of the highest peaks of the world belong to this range . the mount Everest the highest peak in the world with height of 8848 m lies in it .
SHIWALIKS :-
1) The outer most range of Himalayas called shiwaliks. they extend over a width of 10-15 km nd have an altitude varying between 900 nd 1100 m .
2) These ranges r composed of unconsolidated sediments brought down by rivers from the main himayalan ranges located further north .
3 ) The valley's r covered with thick gravel nd alluvium.

1) The northern most range is known as the great or innear Himalayas or the HIMADRI .
2) It is the most continuous range consisting of the loftiest peaks with an average height of 6000 m .
3) It contains all the prominent Himalayan peaks .
